Captain Buddy was born in Savannah, Ga, just south of Bluffton and Hilton Head island. He joined the US Army at the age of 19 and received an honorable discharge after four years. He spent the better part of the next 6 years overseas as a contractor and visited over 40 countries. He returned home to Savannah and began his journey into the maritime world. Deep sea fishing, working with the port of Savannah, large vessel transport, fossil hunting and identification, and ecological tours, he tried it all.
He then met the most beautiful woman in the world. Casey dragged him kicking and screaming to the little town of Bluffton, South Carolina and they were wed in June of 2018 and plan to spend their life between Bluffton and traveling the world in the off season.
Captain Jay a Lowcountry Native born on Hilton Head Island and the water has always been an integral part of his life. He’s gone back and forth from the water to other various careers and always ends up back on the water in some capacity. He served as a Mate on various types (dinner cruise, dolphin tours, ferry boat, excursion) of vessels where he learned the local waterways. In 2015 he had the opportunity to join a fishing crew; It was then that he found his passion and continued to learn and mate for captains in our local waters until receiving his own captains license in 2020. Making memories and sharing that experience of the ocean is something he hopes to share with you!
Casey is the person that makes everything possible. If you made it out on the water, it is because she made it happen. A Bluffton Native, she has spent countless hours on the water in the Low Country. She not only books every trip, she also is a full time mother to our three year old daughter, Isla May, and our 8 month old, Summer McClain.
She is the glue that keeps us giving you great quality trips day in and day out. She’s pretty cute too. 😉
